The dogs will begin barking early today to get you out of bed for the Fido & Friends Walk to benefit the Wellness Community, a nonprofit organization that provides free support and education to people affected by cancer. This year’s walk will feature plenty of food, fun, and prizes, in addition to guest speaker Laurie Stein, a CBS 4 reporter and breast cancer survivor who will be walking with her Pomeranian So So. The one mile mosey begins at 9:00 a.m. at Peacock Park and will be followed by competitions for the tiniest dog and the longest tail, as well as everyone’s favorite, the Master and Fido Look Alike contest. Advance registration costs $35, $50 for families, which includes a T shirt and a doggie gift bag.
