Whether they are tucked into designer bags or strutting proudly down the aisles at Nordstrom, dogs are always the highlight of shopping at the Village of Merrick Park. Tonight the fabulous fur covered darlings, along with feline friends, will star in a photography exhibit showing off their most glamorous shots captured by photographers Carlos Baez, Carl Juste, and Tomas Lansky. “Pawpurrazzi,” presented by the Humane Society of Greater Miami and Adopt A Pet, will feature the pets of local celebrities including Miami Dolphin Jason Taylor, shoe designer Donald J. Pliner, South Beach Diet guru Dr. Arthur Agatston, and Olympic silver medalist, sprinter Lauryn Williams. While your furry friends would prefer to spend the evening scratching, rubbing wet noses against bare legs, and sniffing butts, you can partake in the usual party activities: sipping cocktails, snacking on fancy hors d’oeuvres, and bidding on tempting items in a silent auction. The dogs will hit the red carpet from 7:00 to 10:00. Tickets cost $100, with all proceeds going to the animals.
