Laid-back rocker and avid surfer Jack Johnson brings his handful of sun-streaked hits ("Sitting, Waiting, Wishing," "Flake," and "Taylor") plus a cooler of feel-good album favorites to Boca Raton's Mizner Park Amphitheater on Tuesday. Augmented by a talented, minimalist band that includes bassist Merlo and drummer Adam Topol, the singer/songwriter is on the road in support of his charming third studio disc, In Between Dreams. And though the 29-year-old Johnson is serious about environmental causes -- becoming the first touring artist to support 1% for the Planet by offering eco-friendly merchandise, on-site recycling, and food donations, among other environmental initiatives -- he is remarkably humble when it comes to his music. In fact, in a recent self-assessment he revealed he thinks his songs are ideal for road trips and barbecues. Those in need of a fun, relaxing evening of music will have trouble finding a better headliner.
