Brian Jonestown Massacre

The Website for California-based rock outfit Brian Jonestown Massacre warns visitors about the band's lineup with this disclaimer: "Subject to change without notice." The noncommittal stance about who exactly will be taking the stage as the group makes its way across America to promote its latest album, We Are the Radio, is no surprise to those familiar with the band. Fronted by slightly mental musical genius Anton Newcombe, BJM was a subject of Miami-raised filmmaker Ondi Timoner's 1994 documentary Dig! The film (which Newcombe does not support) followed the frontman and his group's revolving door of bandmates for seven years, along with friends the Dandy Warhols, as they play the record deal game, argue, party, and more than occasionally self-destruct. Despite their drama, however, BJM is alive and well.
