THIS JUST IN

Jim Morrison is dead. But that didn't stop the remaining Doors -- Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger (minus John Densmore, who suffers from tinnitus) -- from re-forming with Ian Astbury, former lead singer of Edie worshippers the Cult, and one-time Police legend Stewart Copeland in 2002. That lineup didn't work out, though, so Manzarek, Krieger, and Astbury are now touring as Doors of the 21st Century. Got that? If hearing Astbury belt out Light My Fire isn't enough to trigger a Sixties flashback, rest assured they'll be appearing in South Florida with a Carmine Appice-led Vanilla Fudge, a Chris Deja-led Yardbirds, and Pat Travers. It all goes down at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 10. Tickets range from $40 to $65 and go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7.

Another golden oldie, John Fogerty, is bringing his Creedence Clearwater Revival material down the road, just in time for baseball season (remember Centerfield?). He plays at Mizner Park Amphitheater at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18. Tickets range from $43 to $53 and go on sale at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 6.

Want to hear something a little more, uh, current? Mexican rock trio La Ley is coming back to Miami, and this time it's touring behind Historias e Histeria, a two-disc retrospective that was released last fall. The show takes place at the University of Miami Convocation Center at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2. Tickets range from $23.75 to $43.75 and go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7.
