The French flamenco ensemble Gipsy Kings is best known in this country for its unlikely 1988 hit Bamboleo. But the group is more than a one-hit wonder; its most recent album, 2004's Roots, was one of the best received albums of its career. See the new and improved Gipsy Kings for yourself at Mizner Park Amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 3. Tickets range from $45 to $67.50 and go on sale at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 18.

Jack Johnson, the smooth-singing troubadour for the soft-rock set, is as easy as the waves he surfs, wooing fans away from the Dave Matthews Band and Ben Harper. His just-released album, In Between Days, debuted in the Billboard top ten albums chart, which means there should be plenty of people angling for a chance to see him when he hits Mizner Park Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6. Tickets cost $35 and go on sale at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 18.

Premiering during WMC is Spy Lounge, the much-anticipated nightclub nestled within the Catalina Hotel. The club has a full slate of public and VIP events scheduled throughout the week, starting with Refresh, a daytime party headlined by techno-heads Frankie Bones and Kenny Larkin, and BreakBeat Bass, a nighttime event starring Aquasky and a ton of other electro and breaks acts. It all starts at noon Tuesday, March 22.

For those who miss the Nerve ol' days, another new venue, Angel Ultra Lounge, is scheduled to debut in the same building at 247 23rd Street, Miami Beach, during Winter Music Conference. You can check it out during the SAW Recordings showcase headlined by progressive house expert Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23.
