Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Slick Rick

When it comes to rocking parties, Eighties hip-hop legends Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, and Slick Rick are can't-lose propositions. From Doug E.'s "The Show" and Biz's "Just a Friend" to Slick Rick's "La Di Da Di," the hits these three titans should generate will even make the most stuck-up South Beach hipsters shake their ass. But isn't it weird that a cigarette manufacturer (RJ Reynolds) is sponsoring a concert of beat box antics and dope rhymes? After all, emphysema doesn't do much for breath control. -- Mosi Reeves

Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, and Slick Rick perform at 11:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave, Miami Beach. Tickets cost $20. Call 305-532-1525.
