Wednesday 1/28 Tightrope walking. Fire-knife dancing. Manipulation. Do these feats remind you of your crazy ex-girlfriend or your stalker? Don't worry, they're just part of the ethereal world that inhabits the yellow-and-blue-striped tent of Cirque Du Soleil. The famed Canadian spectacle came to town earlier this month to perform its jubilant show, Alegría. It's a winsome and poetic theatrical event that brings together daredevil trapeze artists, contortionists, strongmen, and clowns, and choreographs them to tell the story of the handling of power, from kings to beggars, over time. The show starts at 8:00 tonight. Performances run through Sunday, February 8, at Bicentennial Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd. Tickets range from $50 to $190. Call 800-648-5440. (JCR)
