Rocket Projects: The grand opening of a new contemporary art space in the Design District will feature local artists in two shows. The gallery, run by Nina Arias (formerly at Kevin Bruk Gallery) and Nick Cindric, will try to encompass the multimedia spectrum, from performance to painting, sculpture to video. The inaugural show will feature Daniel Arsham, Martin Oppel, David Rohn, and George Sanchez in "Customized" and the trio called FeCuOp in "Assembly of an Allegory." Cernuda Arte: The Gables gallery kicks off the summer with a group show of Cuban artists, called, yes, "A Summer Group Show." The long list includes such artists as Servando Cabrera Moreno, Juan Roberto Diago, Wilfredo Lam, Domingo Ramos, and Sinuhé Vega.
