Going deep with self-hypnosis

Good Sport

His career as a talk-show host may have failed miserably, but no one can deny the fact that Earvin "Magic" Johnson is a charismatic guy. The celebrated former Los Angeles Lakers point guard publicly admitted to being HIV-positive in 1991 and retired from the National Basketball Association. Yet his winning ways still got him voted into the 1992 All-Star Game, where he earned Most Valuable Player honors. Off the court, Johnson, who has remained remarkably robust, is an entrepreneur, developer, and HIV/AIDS educator. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. he'll join a different team in Miami -- one made up of healthcare professionals -- to conduct an informative program about HIV/AIDS at the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Any wino or spring breaker will tell you: Drinking is fun. And it can get even better when you're blindfolded. The savvy folks at Wolfe's Wine Shoppe (124 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables) are well aware of this. That's why from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. they say it will be "just you and the juice" during a Blind Tasting.
