1998 Top Ten Lists

Here at New Times we think of our Top Ten lists as a time-honored tradition. For our third annual CD poll we reached out to the musical community yet again, in search of the best, or at least best-loved, albums of 1998. This time we asked local musicians and composers to tell us what they listened to for inspiration, or just to get a break from their own stuff. Some of our editorial contributors weighed in too. What we got was a subjective selection as diverse as you'd expect from the cultural fusion that is Miami. (Note: The albums are not numbered in order of preference. The numbers are just there to keep things organized.) So here it is: music to listen to as you bid 1998 farewell.
