Xavier Cortes: Bash (655 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) continues its series of Wednesday-night art openings with an exhibition by Xavier Cortes. Cortes emblazons his dream-dark canvases with piercing eyes and flashes of brilliant color, and creates cyborg sculpture from silver-painted goat skulls and discarded computer chips. Besides being a visual artist, Cortes has also performed in several local bands, including the recently defunct Soft E-Z Chair, and he has designed record covers for Ed Matus' Struggle and many others.
