The Lies That Bond

That's a good thing. At two and a half hours, the film is about a half hour too long. (Guess how long the domestic eavesdropping-kidnapping-interrogation subplot lasts!) But Cameron closes the film with an hour of solid action; nearly every penny of that reputed $100 million-plus budget is visible up there on the screen. The special effects are not as innovative as T2's, but they're close, and there are more of them. All in all it's a pretty fair approximation of a Bond movie. Now if there were just some way to make Arnold look more natural in a tux....
