Program Notes 10

The media circus: The Miami Herald's Martin Merzer, sitting at his desk in Miami, wrote a huge thing about O.J. and his dead ex-wife. Tagged to the story was this: "Based on the reporting of the Associated Press, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Daily News, the New York Times, Reuter News Service, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Washington Post." Jeez, don't work too hard there, Marty. (The Herald is also the same paper that regularly steals stories from New Times, most recently violating the copyrighted work of Mr. Kirk "Kuhk" Semple, who wrote about recycling laws weeks ago, then saw the daily plagiarize his article.) Anyway, thanks to Martin Merzer's advanced journalistic approach (i.e., read newspapers all day then piece together a story based on other people's reporting), he has been offered the job of writing "Program Notes" since I won't be any more ever again forever.
